Academic Scholarship Requirements

Mountain Women in Business awards scholarships to deserving high school senior females currently attending Colorado Front Range and/or Foothills High Schools.  From this pool of nominations, the recipients are selected to receive a $500 scholarship award from Mountain Women in Business.   

In order to be accepted as a potential scholarship recipient, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a high school senior female at a Colorado Front Range and/or Foothills High School.
  • Be entering your first year of higher education immediately after high school graduation (no gap years).
  • Intend to enter an accredited United State or Canadian college/university as a full-time student.
  • Agrees to use the funds, if awarded, for attending that college/university.
  • Agrees that enrollment must be completed within the current calendar year.
  • Enrollment is in a business major.

Activities performed during 9th through 12th grade will be evaluated according to the following categories (if applicable)

  • Academic
  • Athletic
  • Community Service
  • Volunteer Service
  • Personal Accomplishments
  • School Club Memberships
  • School Offices Held
  • Employment
  • Recommendations

Mountain Women in Business requests two recommendations as well as your current official high school transcript which must be certified by your high school administrator
