About the speaker, Paula Marquez, owner Polita’s Place
A certified herbalist Paula Marquez. The name Polita was given to her by her late grandmother who had a nickname for everyone.
Paula is a native Coloradan who has always had a passion for nature. She sees the connection between nature and mankind as a partnership, and believes that in order to work together successfully, there must be a mutual understanding and respect. A perfect example of this is with plants: Plants give us food, nutrients and medicine and all they ask for in return is simply love.
Her passion for helping others began in the medical field as she took premedical classes in college while working as a medical assistant and learning some of the ins and outs of western medicine. However, her path took her to teaching rather than medical school. During this time, she learned the importance of patience and developed the ability to explain things on each individual’s level. She has since moved on to herbalism. In this realm she has the ability to combine both of her background careers in order to help others with their healing journey while also being able to educate regarding health, nutrition, and healing.
The meeting format
We begin promptly at the designated start time, so please arrive a little early to visit and get settled in. Announcements will be given at the beginning of each meeting by the meeting leader. Each attendee will be given an opportunity to share a 30-second introduction about you and your business. Please be respectful of others by keeping your introduction short. Then we will hear from the speaker or presenter for the event. There will be time for open networking after the speaker at our In-person events.
Feel free to bring your coffee/beverage and we will serve pastries.
